These are some day lilies in the back yard. There are 5 plants in the same area, but this is the strongest one that consistently continues to bloom.
This is the hydrangea bush in the backyard by the patio. There were only a few bluish-purple bunches; the rest were either a soft green or a weird green-pink. Based on extensive research, and after creating a hand-illustrated notebook filled with handwritten notes (it felt like I was in college again -- when was the last time I took notes instead of giving them?!), I discovered the reason for the odd coloration was due to pH. How cool is God's imagination that we can change the color of (some) hydrangeas through acidity?
These are some different blooms (from the same hygrangea bush) that I cut for the dining room table. How nice that they also match my placemats!
