Good Monday

Today my husband ordered me to post something new on my blog. He said it's been three weeks, and people are probably wondering if I'm dead.

No, I'm not dead. I just have not had the large, unoccupied amounts of time to dedicate to blogging that I did before I got my new job. They haven't gotten me a phone and computer to use from home yet, so I've had to drive to the office during the past three weeks. But it is only part-time, and I can call my own hours, so I leave late enough in the morning and early enough in the afternoon to avoid the horrendous traffic.

Aside from the fact that I had not planned on using so much time and gas (part of the purpose of working AT HOME), it's actually given me lots of time to think and to listen to talk radio (Neil Boortz in the morning, and Rush or Hannity in the afternoon). And when I can't listen to talk radio anymore (due to the occasional ridiculous people who call in), I listen to all the country stations as I wind my way around the area, driving up and down the hills, watching as the green forests give way to autumn. It seems more fitting to listen to country in the heart of Georgia than it did in Florida.

On Monday as I drove home from work, I wasn't feeling too well, and the rolling hills didn't help either. I got home and lay down to take a nap, something I NEVER do. Eventually John walked in the door, and revealed a lovely surprise -- yellow mums. They make me smile every time I look at them. So cheery!

We were wondering about the blog, too. Now, about that not feeling well thing . . . !
